Why Tripo P2

How Manus uses Tripo P2

Quality mode draws first

In Quality mode, Manus draws a reference image with GPT Image 2.5, then builds the model with Tripo P2. Game characters have about 5,000 faces. Each model takes about 1 minute, plus the image step.

Rig and animate in the same task

Ask Manus to rig the character and add motions such as walking or running. Manus can build all your characters at the same time.

Download GLB or FBX

Quad-topology models from Tripo P2 come as FBX files, and rigged or animated characters can be exported as FBX too. Download your models and keep working in Blender or Unity.

Quad topology as an FBX file

Ask for quad topology, and Tripo P2 makes the model as an FBX file. This cottage is shown with its mesh lines.

Prompt

Use Tripo P2 to make a 3D model with quad topology: A stylized fantasy mushroom cottage for a game: a red mushroom cap with white spots as the roof, a round wooden door, two small windows, a stone chimney, and a small flower patch at the base. Hand-painted cartoon style.

Fast or Quality: when to use Tripo P2

Manus uses Tripo P1 in Fast mode, the default, and Tripo P2 in Quality mode. Fast suits prototypes, many enemies and props, quick changes, and tight budgets. Quality suits main characters, close-ups, a consistent art style, and cover shots. Fast mode uses about 3x fewer credits than Quality mode.

Need it faster? Try Tripo P1

Tripo P1 builds the model in about 20 seconds. Textures and saving add time. It makes GLB files and gives less detail than Tripo P2.

Frequently asked questions

What is Tripo P2?

Tripo P2, which Tripo calls Tripo P2.0, is a 3D generation model from Tripo AI. Manus uses it in Quality mode: it draws a reference image first, then builds a detailed 3D model with Tripo P2.

Start your request with "Use Tripo P2", then describe the character or attach one image. In games, Quality mode uses Tripo P2. Manus saves the model to your task files.

Can Manus rig and animate a Tripo P2 model?

Yes. Rigging supports seven body types: humanoid, four-legged, six-legged, eight-legged, bird, snake, and fish. Humanoids have more than 90 preset motions, and four-legged characters can walk. Manus can first check whether the model can be rigged and which body type fits. If rigging fails, Manus explains why in the chat and keeps the character as a static model.

What file formats does Tripo P2 create?

How much does Tripo P2 cost in Manus?

Each 3D step uses credits. Credit usage depends on the model and settings Manus uses, and Fast mode uses about 3x fewer credits than Quality mode. See pricing

What image works best for Tripo P2?

One full-body image works best: a plain, high-contrast background, at least 2048 px, ideally a PNG, with the character in an A or T pose from one angle. For a selfie or sketch, ask Manus to redraw it as a clean full-body illustration first. Game characters are stylized, so they will not look exactly like a photo.
