Ashby MCP connector for Manus

Walk into every interview prepared and see where each role stands

Connect Ashby and ask “What interviews do I have this week?” Manus lists the times, candidates and roles, and before each one it writes an interview prep brief with the background, resume summary, earlier feedback and panel. It also counts candidates at every stage of each role and lists the scorecards and approvals waiting on you. It sees only what your Ashby account can already see, and for new candidates, notes or stage moves you can ask it to show the change first.

Questions about Ashby AI and MCP

How do I connect Ashby to Manus?

First, an Ashby org admin turns on MCP Server in Admin > Organization Setup > Opt-In Features. Then open Connectors in Manus, choose Ashby, select Connect and sign in with your own Ashby account. People with Elevated Access in Ashby can connect. After that, mention Ashby in any task, for example “What interviews do I have this week?”

Is this the same Ashby MCP that Claude and ChatGPT use?

Yes. Manus connects to the MCP server that Ashby hosts, the same one behind the Ashby Claude connector and the Ashby app in ChatGPT. In Manus it’s already in Connectors, so there’s nothing to install or configure.

Can Manus see every candidate in our Ashby account?

No. Each person signs in with their own Ashby account, so Manus sees only the candidates, jobs and interviews that account can already open. Someone who isn’t part of a hiring process can’t look up its candidates through Manus, and other people don’t see what you ask.

Will Manus move a candidate or add a note without asking?

No. Manus makes a change only when you ask, and only what your Ashby permissions allow. For notes and every other change, ask Manus to show you the draft first and wait for your OK; every example on this page does, and you can ask the same in any request. Offer and rejection decisions stay with you and your hiring team.

Can Manus see other interviewers’ scorecards?

No. The Ashby scorecard tool returns only the feedback you submitted yourself, not other interviewers’. When Manus reads a candidate’s profile, it sees earlier feedback only if your Ashby account can already see it there.

Can Manus write my interview feedback?

Yes, as a draft. Paste your notes or describe the interview, and Manus writes the feedback with strengths and concerns for you to edit. You pick the rating and submit the scorecard in Ashby. Manus can also save a summary as a note on the candidate’s profile once you confirm it.

How is this different from Ashby AI features like Ashby Assistant?

Ashby Assistant and the other Ashby AI features work inside the Ashby recruiting software. Manus uses your Ashby recruiting data as one source in a bigger task, together with your files and other apps, for example comparing open roles with a headcount plan in a spreadsheet or drafting a recruiting update for the board.

Does Manus work with the Ashby AI Notetaker?

AI Notetaker is the Ashby feature that records and summarizes interviews inside Ashby. Manus doesn’t record interviews. It reads the transcripts, notes and feedback already on a candidate’s profile, so it can prepare you for the next round or sum up what was said.

Does Manus replace Ashby AI-Assisted Application Review?

No. AI-Assisted Application Review is the Ashby feature that checks applications against criteria your team sets, inside Ashby. Manus summarizes candidates and compares profiles when you ask, but it doesn’t screen applicants for you or make offer or rejection decisions.

Is there an Ashby Slack integration for these updates?

Ashby has its own Slack app. To get the weekly recruiting update from Manus in Slack, connect Slack in Manus as well and name the channel in the task, for example “Post it in #hiring.” To check first, ask Manus to show you the message before it posts.
