Start with one sentence about your game. You don’t need to write any code.
Say what kind of 2D game you want, such as a platformer, puzzle, or shooter. Add the hero, controls, and levels you have in mind.
Try the game in the preview, then ask for changes to difficulty, controls, levels, or art style. You can also adjust speed and gravity in the Game Dev tweak panel while you play.
Publish your game, then copy its link or share it on X, Facebook, or Reddit. Anyone with the link can play it in a browser.
Every image, animation, sound, and font in your game is in the Assets tab. Ask Manus to make new ones or change what’s there.
Ask for characters, tiles, and backgrounds in one art style, such as pixel art. For art outside your game, try the AI image generator.
Open an animation in the Assets tab to play or pause it and see how many frames it has and its frame rate.
Select images and choose Slice, Compress, or Change color. You can also mark up to 10 spots on an image and tell Manus what to change.
Ask for music and sound effects, then find them under Audio in the Assets tab. To make a soundtrack on its own, try the AI music generator.
Describe your game in the box at the top of this page, for example a pixel-art platformer where a frog explores jungle ruins. Manus builds a playable version you can try right away. Then ask for changes until it plays the way you want.
A 2D game takes place on a flat plane, so characters move left and right or up and down instead of through a 3D space. Platformers, top-down shooters, puzzle games, and tower defense games are common types of 2D games.
You can make platformers, puzzle games, racing games, shooters, card games, tower defense games, and more. The examples on this page include a card battler, a beat ’em up, a tower defense game, and an arcade arena game.
