Company Context

k-ID builds the infrastructure layer for an age-aware internet. Backed by a16z, the company helps game studios and digital platforms answer a foundational question: how old are my users, and how do we build age-appropriate experiences for them while remaining globally compliant?
Over the past six months, the k-ID team has grown from 14 to 32 active Manus users, completely replacing previous AI development tools to build entirely new products, automate data analytics, and power their core compliance offerings.
With Manus, k-ID:
Integrated Neimo, an AI-powered regulatory intelligence layer covering 197 countries and 285+ jurisdictions, directly into their workflow via MCP
Built a Vendor Assessment Tool that tracks 47 vendors and proactively identifies almost 100% of flagged compliance blockers
Consolidated customer success tracking from HubSpot and Linear into a Vantage Tool, saving each CSM 4 hours per week
Delivered a Product Usage Tracker prototype in two days, giving product and sales teams a shared view of customer adoption
Monitored and analyzed over 500 websites for regulatory updates using hundreds of parallel sub-agents

The Challenge — 200 countries, 200 sets of rules

When a game studio prepares to launch a new title globally, the legal review process often looks the same. Product managers wait days or weeks for research spanning multiple practice areas. Lawyers scramble to figure out whether a thirteen-year-old in South Korea can access the same features as a fifteen-year-old in Germany. By the time the legal team hands their findings back to the product team, the regulations have often changed again.
Shipping a game across 200 jurisdictions used to mean months of legal review and a six-figure compliance bill. In the last two years alone, some of the world's largest tech companies have paid over $2 billion in fines for violating children's privacy laws.
To solve this complex problem, k-ID needed a system capable of processing massive amounts of regulatory data, building custom tools on the fly, and integrating deeply into their daily operations. They found that system in Manus.

The Solution

Neimo — Legal compliance for digital platforms

The Neimo MCP: A lawyer in your pocket

The most significant project k-ID has built with Manus is the integration of Neimo, their AI-powered regulatory intelligence layer already trusted by Discord and Quora. Neimo comprises a global knowledge base of vetted regulatory requirements covering 197 countries and all 50 US states, drawing from 3,193 regulatory sources.
By building Neimo as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector for Manus, k-ID gave their team direct access to this massive regulatory database right inside their daily workflow. Instead of spending weeks researching new markets, a product manager can open Manus and ask, "Review my game code - and tell me what regulatory requirements we need to address for our expansion to Australia. Check everything with Neimo." Manus queries the database, cross-references the game mechanics against Australian law, and delivers a sourced briefing note.
"It's like having a lawyer in your pocket while using Manus."

From idea to deployed product in hours

When k-ID's product and customer success teams identified high-value internal tooling needs, those requests used to sit in engineering backlogs for months. Crystal, k-ID's product lead, changed that. Using Manus, she built three production-grade internal tools without filing a single Jira ticket or consuming a single engineering sprint.
The Vendor Assessment Tool replaced an ad-hoc evaluation process with a centralized system. It tracks 47 vendors across four categories, with 31 completed assessments. The result: 100 percent of flagged vendors are now identified proactively.
The Vantage Tool consolidated customer success tracking from HubSpot, Linear, and internal data sources into a single dashboard. Customer success managers now have a unified view of their portfolio before every client call, saving each CSM four hours per week on account prep.
The Product Usage Tracker bridges the gap between anonymous product telemetry and CRM records. The dashboard surfaces which features are being used and at what scale. Crystal went from concept to functional prototype in two days.

The Internal API Dashboard

k-ID integrated the Manus API directly into their internal company dashboard, connecting seven platforms into a single query interface: HubSpot, Metabase, Granola, Slack, Jira, Notion, and Google Workspace.
The integration also shaped the Manus product itself. When Kieran asked whether the API could surface chain-of-thought reasoning directly inside k-ID's dashboard, the Manus engineering team scoped the work and shipped webhook support within 12 days. k-ID can now see the exact execution steps Manus takes as it processes each query. A customer request became a product feature.

A gamified developer experience

When pitching their compliance engine to major game studios, k-ID built "Mythos of k-ID," a fully interactive, gamified developer onboarding experience using Manus. The demo pulls directly from a prospective client's own API key, allowing k-ID to show a live, working version of the product.

The experience features a fantasy RPG-style interface, a 13-entry Developer Codex containing real API documentation, and guided paths through k-ID's core products. A guide character named Hermes walks developers through actual API calls, authentication flows, and compliance gate logic.

Automated regulatory monitoring

Keeping track of legislative changes across 285 markets requires constant vigilance. k-ID uses Manus to analyze and monitor over 500 websites for regulatory updates. By leveraging Manus's Wide Research capability, k-ID breaks down this massive monitoring task into hundreds of parallel sub-agents. Each agent independently checks a specific regulatory source, analyzes any changes, and reports back.

The Outcome — Operationalizing compliance at scale

The tools k-ID built weren't handed down from a massive engineering organization. They were built by product leads, data teams, and founders who needed to move faster. k-ID's US-based data team now consumes 80 percent of the company's Manus credits, spinning up comprehensive data analytics portals that pipe into various sources and generate customized client reports with a single click. What would normally require a dedicated team of data engineers was built using Manus, allowing the team to focus on analysis rather than infrastructure.

What Comes Next

k-ID is already planning the next phase: connecting their standalone Manus-built tools directly to their core CRM and product databases via secure APIs, moving beyond dashboards to automate multi-step operational workflows like onboarding sequences and compliance reporting.
As k-ID prepares to launch the Neimo MCP to the public, they are giving every developer the ability to code with confidence, knowing they have a global legal team sitting right inside their workspace.
