  8. > Build failed because of webpack errors
  9. Error: Command "npm run build" exited with 1
Manus

Why it failed

The page imports ReviewList, but the file is named reviewList.tsx. File names are case-sensitive in the Vercel build, so the import can’t be found, even if it works on your computer.

Suggested fix

app/products/[id]/page.tsx, line 4

-import { ReviewList } from '@/components/ReviewList'

+import { ReviewList } from '@/components/reviewList'

Vercel deployment failed? Get the cause and the fix

Instead of scrolling through hundreds of log lines, get the line that broke the build, the reason in plain words and the change to make.

Ask why last night’s Vercel deployment failed

Manus finds that deployment, reads its build logs and points to the line that failed. Then it explains why in plain words and suggests the change to make.

  • checkoutErrorLast night
    1. Generating static pages (12/18)
    2. Error: STRIPE_SECRET_KEY is not set
    3. Error occurred prerendering page "/checkout"

    Why it failed

STRIPE_SECRET_KEY is set for Preview but not for Production, so the production build stops when it renders /checkout.

    What to change

Add STRIPE_SECRET_KEY to the Production environment in Project Settings, then redeploy.

  • blogError2h ago
    1. Linting and checking validity of types ...
    2. Type error: Property 'slug' does not exist on type 'Post'.
    3. ./app/blog/page.tsx:23:18

    Why it failed

slug was renamed to permalink in lib/posts.ts, but the blog page still reads slug.

    What to change

    Change post.slug to post.permalink on line 23 of app/blog/page.tsx.

  • dashboardErrorYesterday
    1. Running "install" command: `npm install`...
    2. npm error ERESOLVE could not resolve
    3. peer react@"^18" from @acme/date-picker@2.1.0

    Why it failed

@acme/date-picker still needs React 18, and the project moved to React 19.

    What to change

Update @acme/date-picker to a version that supports React 19, or stay on React 18 until it does.

Vercel build logs and deploy status across projects

One list of the latest deployments in your team, so you see what’s live, what’s still building and what needs a look.

Vercel logs not showing? Check every deployment’s state first

Manus lists the latest deployments of every project with branch, commit, state and build time. It flags the ones that failed and any Vercel build stuck on Initializing or Queued, then opens the build logs of any row you ask about.

From a failed build to a pull request in GitHub

Keep your usual flow: the fix goes through a pull request, and Vercel builds a preview before anything reaches production.

Fix it in a pull request, then let Vercel deploy from GitHub

With GitHub connected too, Manus makes the fix on a new branch and opens a pull request. If the project is linked to that repository, Vercel builds a preview of the pull request as it does for every push, and Manus tells you when it’s Ready. Merging stays with you.

Fix the case of the ReviewList import

mainfix/review-list-import+1−1

The Vercel build failed because app/products/[id]/page.tsx imported @/components/ReviewList. This changes the import to match the file name. No other files changed.

Check a domain or ask Vercel’s docs

The small questions you’d usually open another tab for, answered in the same chat.

Check Vercel domain availability in chat

Ask about a few names and Manus checks which ones are available to register. It doesn’t buy anything: that choice stays with you.

Search Vercel’s official docs for the right setting

Ask how to add a Vercel deploy hook, turn on Vercel Deployment Protection or redeploy without the Vercel build cache, and Manus answers from Vercel’s official docs, step by step.

How do I add a deploy hook?

  1. 1Open your project’s Settings and select Git.
  2. 2Under Deploy Hooks, name the hook and pick a branch.
  3. 3Send a GET or POST request to the URL you get, and a new deployment starts.

Connect the Vercel MCP server in Manus

There’s no server address or token to copy. Vercel is already in Manus Connectors, and you sign in with your own Vercel account.

  1. Open Connectors

In Manus, open Connectors and select Vercel.

  2. Sign in to Vercel

Use your Vercel account and choose the teams Manus can work with.

  3. Name a project in a task

Ask in plain words, and paste a deployment link when you have one.

Main things Manus works with
  • Projects and deploymentsState, branch, commit and build time
  • Build logsThe output of each build, line by line
  • DomainsYour domains, and whether a new one is available
  • Vercel docsOfficial guides for settings and errors

Manus gets the same access as your Vercel account in the teams you allow, so it can also change what your role permits, such as environment variables. To keep a task read-only, say so in your request.

Questions about the Vercel MCP connector

Does Manus support Vercel MCP?

Yes. Manus connects to Vercel’s official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at mcp.vercel.com, the Vercel MCP server that lets AI tools work with your projects, deployments and logs. It’s already in Manus Connectors, so there’s nothing to install or host.

How do I connect Vercel to Manus?

Open Connectors in Manus, select Vercel and sign in with your Vercel account. On Vercel’s screen, choose the teams Manus can work with. After that, name a project or paste a deployment link in a task.

What can Manus see in my Vercel account?

Your projects and their settings, including environment variables and their values, plus deployments, build logs, your domains and whether a new domain is available, and Vercel’s official docs. It has the same access as your Vercel account in the teams you allow, and your Vercel role still applies.

Will Manus change production or buy a domain for me?

Reading deployments, build logs and docs doesn’t change anything. But the connection has the same access as your Vercel account, so it can also make changes your role allows, such as starting or canceling deployments and editing environment variables or project settings. If you only want a diagnosis, say so in your request and ask for the changes as a list you apply yourself. For domains, Manus checks availability and leaves buying to you. Vercel also asks you to confirm the price before any purchase, and only team members with billing access can buy.

Do I need to run commands or use the Vercel CLI?

No. You don’t need the Vercel logs CLI command or a terminal: ask in plain words and Manus reads deployments and build output through the connector. If the fix is a different Vercel build command or another project setting, it tells you which setting to change.

Can I use it as a Vercel logs MCP?

Yes, for build logs. Name a deployment, or paste its link, and Manus reads its build output through Vercel’s MCP server, then points to the lines that matter. There’s no need to download or copy the logs first.

Do I need Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to use Vercel MCP?

No. A “Vercel MCP Claude Code” guide, a “Vercel MCP Cursor” setup or a “Vercel MCP Codex” setup has you add Vercel’s server to that tool yourself. In Manus, Vercel is already in Connectors: sign in once, ask in a chat and the task runs in the cloud.

Can I revoke Manus’s access to Vercel?

Yes. Open Connectors in Manus, select Vercel and choose Disconnect. You can connect again later and pick different teams on Vercel’s screen.
