Summarize Slack channel messages into your to-do list
Manus reads #team-marketing, sorts the ideas, feedback and requests, and gives you a list of your own action items, most important first.
Manus is an AI agent that works with your Slack workspace, not the AI built into Slack. It reads the channels you point it to, pulls out action items and posts finished work back to your team. You can also tag @Manus in a thread to hand it a task.
Ask for a Slack AI summary of a busy channel, and Manus tells you what the team decided and what’s on your list.
Manus reads #team-marketing, sorts the ideas, feedback and requests, and gives you a list of your own action items, most important first.
Name the channel, and Manus can post to Slack automatically when the work is done. Messages go out as you, so the team sees them like any other update.
Manus researches the top 100 AI startups in parallel, writes the report and shares it in #team-marketing, so the team sees it right away.
Every Monday, Manus reviews last week’s changes in your Notion projects database, writes the report page and posts the link for the team.
Every Friday, Manus collects the pull requests merged into main, writes the changelog with a link to each one and posts it to #engineering.
Manus reads your KOL Campaign Q4 base, compares engagement and audience growth, and posts the top 3 creators with one insight about what worked.
Set up Slack automation once as a scheduled task, and Manus runs it at the same time every day or week. It’s an easy way to automate Slack messages like digests and reports.
Add the Manus app, a Slack integration AI agent for your channels. Tag @Manus in a public or private channel, and this AI Slack bot reads the thread, files included, then posts the result there for everyone.
Manus reads the whole discussion and the files shared in it, then replies in the thread with the PRD as a PDF.
“@Manus Based on this thread, generate a complete PRD for the new checkout flow.”
Tag @Manus under a strategy document, and the deck comes back in the thread as a PDF.
“@Manus Turn this strategy document into a slide deck for tomorrow’s client meeting”
Ask for a page based on what the team agreed on. Manus replies with a preview link to the site.
“@Manus Based on this thread, create a landing page for our product launch”
Want an AI assistant for Slack that only you talk to? Send the Manus bot a direct message with text, voice notes, images or files. It remembers your past conversations, and these tasks appear under Agents in Manus.
How to set up Manus agents in SlackUse one or both: the connector works from a Manus task, and the app works inside Slack.
You ask in Manus. It reads your channels and sends messages as you.
It’s built on MCP, so there’s no Slack MCP server for you to host or configure. How Manus connectors work
Connect Slack in ManusYou ask in Slack: tag @Manus in a thread or send it a direct message.
Manus posts when your request or scheduled task tells it to. Ask to see the message first, and it posts after you say yes.
Manus sees threads where it’s tagged with @Manus and the channels you authorize through the connector.
Type mute in a thread to stop Manus from following it. Disconnect Slack in Connectors or Settings whenever you want.
It’s the built-in Slack connector in Manus. It uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), so Manus can read your Slack channels and send messages as you from a Manus task. It’s available to all Manus users, and there’s no Slack MCP server for you to set up.
No. Manus is a separate AI agent, not a feature of Slack. You connect your Slack workspace to Manus, or add the Manus app to Slack, and Manus does the work with your own account.
With the connector, you ask in Manus, and Manus reads channels and sends messages as you. With the Manus app, you tag @Manus in a Slack thread or send it a direct message, and it replies in Slack. Each tagged thread starts a fresh task, while direct messages remember your past conversations.
You connect the connector yourself: open Connectors in Manus, choose Slack, review the permissions and click Allow. Adding the Manus app needs a Slack workspace where you can install apps. Teammates who tag @Manus need their own Manus account, and their first message gives them a login link to link it.
Yes. Slack requires a paid plan to use the AI features of the Manus app in Slack.
Manus posts to Slack when your request or scheduled task asks it to, in the channel you name. To check first, ask it to show you the message, and it posts after you say yes. In threads, it replies when someone tags @Manus.
Only the threads where it’s tagged with @Manus, including the files in them, and the channels you authorize through the connector. For the Manus agent in your direct messages to check channels for you, connect the Slack connector and add Manus to those channels.
Yes. Set up a scheduled task, such as every weekday at 9:00 AM or every Friday at 4 PM. Each run reads the channels or apps you name and posts the result, for example a morning summary of what shipped, what’s in progress and what’s blocked.
Yes. Send the Manus bot a direct message. You can send text, voice notes, images, videos or files. These tasks appear under Agents in Manus, not in your regular task list.
A text reply in the thread or direct message, plus any files. PDFs, images, videos and audio come as attachments, slides and documents arrive as PDFs, and websites come as a preview link.
Type mute in a thread to stop Manus from following new messages there, and unmute to turn it back on. Use !skip to have it ignore a single message. To turn off access, disconnect Slack in Connectors, or open Settings, then Integrations, then Slack and click Disconnect.
