Buffer MCP connector for Manus

Draft and schedule social media posts in Buffer from one chat

Connect your Buffer account and Manus turns a blog post, a product update or a rough idea into posts written for each of your channels, then adds them to your Buffer queue at the times you choose. Unless you ask to post right away, every post lands in Buffer first, so you can check and edit it there before it goes live. Works on every Buffer plan, including Free.

Ember Roast is here, and it’s our favorite autumn release yet. It comes from one family farm in Huila, Colombia. We roast it a little darker for notes of caramel, orange peel and cocoa. In our new blog post, we visit the farm and explain how we choose each seasonal blend.

New season, new coffee. Ember Roast lands today, and it might be the coziest thing we’ve roasted all year. What are you drinking now that it’s getting colder?

Manus doesn’t replace the Buffer social media scheduler you already use. It works as an AI social media scheduler on top of it: it writes the posts and sets the times, and Buffer publishes them.

Buffer AI social media posts, written for each channel

Manus turns a blog post, a product update or notes from a meeting into posts that fit each channel, then saves them to Buffer for you to check.

Turn a blog post into a post for each channel

Manus reads the post and writes a longer LinkedIn post, a short X post and a casual Threads post, then saves them to Buffer as drafts.

Save ideas from a meeting as Buffer ideas

Paste your notes or a chat, and Manus picks out what’s worth posting and saves each one to your Buffer ideas, ready to plan and schedule later.

Plan a week of posts with an AI social media scheduler

Give Manus a theme and a posting plan. It writes each post and adds it to your Buffer queue on the right day and at the right time.

Schedule a week of posts in Buffer

Tell Manus the theme, the channels and when to post. It writes every post and schedules each one on its own day and time.

Look back at what you posted

Use Manus as an AI social media planner: it reads the posts you sent from Buffer recently, groups them by topic and suggests what to cover next.

Questions about the Buffer MCP connector

Is this the Buffer MCP server?

Yes. The Buffer connector in Manus is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector for the MCP server that Buffer runs, and Buffer lists Manus among the AI tools that work with it. It’s already in Manus Connectors, so there’s nothing to install or host.

How do I connect Buffer to Manus?

Open Connectors in Manus, select Buffer and choose Connect. Sign in to Buffer if it asks, then approve access. It’s an OAuth sign-in, so there’s no API key to create or paste.

Will Manus publish posts without me?

Manus adds posts to your Buffer queue as drafts or as scheduled posts. A draft waits until you schedule it in Buffer. A scheduled post goes out at its time, or in the next open slot of your queue if no time is set, and until then you can edit or delete it in Buffer. Buffer’s tools can also share a post right away, so ask for drafts when you want to check everything first.

Which social networks can Manus post to?

The ones Buffer supports: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business, Mastodon, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and Start Page. Text alone works on X, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon. Instagram and TikTok posts need an image or a video, Pinterest needs an image and a board, and YouTube needs a video with a title and a category. Buffer sets these rules, so check its docs for the latest.

Does it work with Buffer’s Free plan?

Yes. Buffer includes MCP access on every plan, including Free, and your plan’s own limits still apply. If you’re looking up Buffer AI pricing, Buffer lists its plans and prices on its own site, and connecting Manus doesn’t change your Buffer plan. The work Manus does in a task uses your Manus credits as usual.

How is Manus different from the Buffer AI Assistant?

The Buffer AI Assistant is built into Buffer: it helps you brainstorm, rewrite and tailor posts while you write them in Buffer. Manus is a separate general AI agent that connects to your Buffer account from outside. In one chat it can read a link or a file, write the posts, make images and add everything to your queue, and it can work with your other connected apps too. You can use both.

Do I need Claude or ChatGPT to use Buffer MCP?

No. Guides for “Buffer MCP Claude” or “Buffer MCP ChatGPT” setups, a Buffer Claude connector or a Buffer Claude integration are about adding Buffer to those apps. In Manus, Buffer is already in Connectors: sign in once, then ask in any task.

Can Manus make images for my posts?

Yes. Manus can make images and write the captions in the same task. Add the images to your posts in Buffer yourself. For Instagram, Manus can save the caption as a Buffer idea for you to finish there. To publish to Instagram straight from Manus, use the Instagram connector.

What can Manus do with my Buffer queue?

It can list your channels, show what’s drafted and scheduled, create posts, add them to your queue or set them for a time, move a post to a new time and delete posts you no longer need. Buffer deletes a post for good, so ask Manus to list what it will delete first.

Can I use Buffer accounts with several organizations?

Yes. The connection covers your whole Buffer account, including every organization and channel in it. Say which organization and channels you mean in your request, especially if you manage posts for more than one brand.

Can Manus work as an AI social media manager for small business owners?

It can take on the routine work. Share a product update or a few photos and Manus writes a post for each channel, fills next week’s Buffer queue and tells you what you posted about most last month. If you’d rather check first, ask for drafts: nothing goes live until you schedule it in Buffer.

Can Manus draft posts on a schedule?

Yes. Set up a scheduled task, for example every Friday afternoon, and Manus drafts the next week’s posts and saves them to Buffer for you to review. It works like a social media posting AI agent, while you still have the final say in Buffer.

Can I disconnect Buffer later?

Yes. Open Connectors in Manus, select Buffer and choose Disconnect. Buffer also lets you revoke access from its own settings.
