Snowflake MCP connector for Manus

Ask Snowflake a business question and get an answer you can check

Write a natural language query Snowflake can answer, like “Which region grew fastest last quarter?” Manus uses the Cortex tools your company set up in Snowflake to write the SQL and get the numbers. Open the SQL to check the answer, then turn the results into tables, charts and reports. What you can see depends on the role your company gives you in Snowflake.

Snowflake text to SQL: ask in plain English, check the SQL

Ask Snowflake questions in plain English. Manus works as a Snowflake text to SQL agent with the Cortex tools your company turned on, and every answer comes with SQL you can open and check.

Snowflake AI text to SQL with Snowflake Cortex Analyst

Cortex Analyst writes the SQL from your company’s Snowflake semantic view and says how it read your question. When your admin turns on the read-only SQL tool, Manus runs it and shows you the rows.

Renewals fell to 86% in September from 91% in August, mostly on the Starter plan [1]. Many customers who didn’t renew mention the September price change in their tickets [2].

Ask a Snowflake AI agent your team already built

If your company offers a Cortex Agent through the MCP server, Manus can pass your question to it. These Snowflake AI agents pick the data and tools they need and send back an answer with its sources.

Search contracts and tickets with Snowflake Cortex Search

Cortex Search is one of the Snowflake AI tools your company can turn on for text such as contracts, support tickets and documents. Manus finds the passages that match and tells you where each one came from.

Find what customers said about late refunds

Ask in your own words. Cortex Search matches by meaning as well as keywords, so “money back” can still find “refund”. Manus quotes each passage with the ticket, file or clause it came from.

Turn Snowflake data into charts, reports and dashboards

Go from Snowflake data to chart, one-page report or spreadsheet in the same task, and put the numbers on a schedule when you need them every week.

Your Snowflake role decides what Manus can see

This works the same for all Snowflake MCP connectors: access to the server doesn’t include its tools, and your admin grants each tool and dataset to a role. Manus only gets what your role allows.

Sign in with your own Snowflake account

Snowflake uses OAuth, so you sign in as yourself and Manus works within your default role. Your Snowflake password isn’t shared with Manus.

Ask questions without changing tables

Your admin picks the tools Manus can use, and the SQL tool runs read-only queries by default. Other tools, like stored procedures, can only change what your role allows. When you just want answers, ask Manus to only read data.

Connect the Snowflake MCP server to Manus

Snowflake MCP server setup happens once: an admin creates the server in Snowflake, picks its tools, grants them to a role and sets up OAuth sign-in. Then each person connects from Manus with their own account.

  1. Your admin sets up the server

In Snowflake, an admin creates the MCP server, adds tools such as Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search, grants them to your role and sets up OAuth sign-in for Manus.

  2. Connect in Manus

In Manus, open Connectors, choose Snowflake, select Connect and enter the details your admin gives you.

  3. Sign in and ask

Sign in with your Snowflake account, then mention Snowflake in any task and ask your question.

Questions about Snowflake MCP and AI

How do I connect Snowflake to Manus?

First, a Snowflake admin at your company creates an MCP server in Snowflake, picks the Cortex tools it offers and grants them to your role. The admin also creates an OAuth security integration, because the server doesn’t let apps register on their own. Then open Connectors in Manus, choose Snowflake, select Connect, enter the details your admin gives you and sign in with your own Snowflake account. After that, mention Snowflake in any task.

Can Manus see all of my Snowflake data?

No. Manus works through your own Snowflake sign-in, so it can only use the tools and data your role is allowed to use. Access to the MCP server doesn’t include its tools: your admin grants each tool, semantic view and search service to a role.

Can I check how an answer was worked out?

Yes. Cortex Analyst returns the SQL it wrote together with how it read your question. Ask Manus to show the SQL and which semantic view or table it used, so you or your data team can check the numbers.

Will Manus change or delete data in Snowflake?

Only if your admin adds tools that can. Cortex Analyst writes SQL, Cortex Search searches text, and SQL execution runs read-only (SELECT) queries by default. Custom functions, stored procedures and Cortex Agents can change data if they’re built to, so what they do depends on how your admin set them up and what your role allows.

Do I need to know SQL?

No. Ask in plain words, like “Which plan lost the most customers last quarter?” Manus gets the SQL written for you and explains the result. The SQL is there whenever you want to check it.

What is Snowflake Cortex, and how does Manus use it?

Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search and Cortex Agents are Snowflake’s own features, and your company sets them up inside Snowflake. Manus calls the ones your company makes available through the MCP server, then works with the results together with your files and other connected apps in the same task.

Which Snowflake MCP tools can Manus use?

The ones your admin adds to the MCP server: Cortex Analyst for questions about tables, Cortex Search for documents and other text, Cortex Agents, and optionally SQL execution and your own functions or stored procedures. One server can offer up to 50 tools.

How does Snowflake MCP server OAuth sign-in work?

Snowflake MCP server authentication uses Snowflake OAuth by default, or your company’s own identity provider, such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID. Your admin sets up one OAuth security integration for the whole account. Everyone still signs in with their own account, and the session uses the default role set for you in Snowflake.

Do I need the Snowflake Claude MCP or a Snowflake ChatGPT integration?

No. A Snowflake Claude connector, a Snowflake Claude integration or a Snowflake ChatGPT connector adds Snowflake to those apps. Manus connects to the Snowflake-managed MCP server your admin creates, so you don’t need a Snowflake MCP Claude setup. Snowflake is already in Manus Connectors.

Does this Snowflake AI integration work with my other tools?

Yes. In one task, Manus can use answers from Snowflake together with files you upload and other apps you’ve connected, then turn them into a report, slides or a spreadsheet.

What does the Snowflake MCP server cost?

Snowflake bills the Cortex tools and the queries they run to your company’s Snowflake account, as described in Snowflake’s pricing. The Manus task itself uses your Manus credits as usual.

Can Manus send me a Snowflake report every week?

Yes. Put the time in your request, for example “Every Monday at 8:00 AM, email me last week’s revenue by region from Snowflake.” Manus saves it as a scheduled task that you can find in Automations.

Can I disconnect Snowflake later?

Yes. Open Connectors in Manus, choose Snowflake and select Disconnect. Manus can no longer reach your Snowflake account after that.
