Summarize every Drive file that mentions a keyword
Manus searches the folder for your word, reads only the documents that match and saves the summary as a new Google Docs file.
Manus is an independent AI agent, not Google’s built-in Gemini. It works in your Google Drive with your own Google account, through the Google Workspace connector (formerly the Google Drive connector). Nothing to install.
Point Manus at a folder and use it as an AI report generator. It reads the Docs, Sheets, Slides and PDFs inside and hands back one finished document you can share, like this brief built from five files.
Manus searches the folder for your word, reads only the documents that match and saves the summary as a new Google Docs file.
Saved next to the original in the same Drive folder
Manus reads last quarter’s analysis, checks every competitor again with Wide Research and writes a v2 back to your Google Drive.
Use the same folder to build a deck. Manus creates the presentation in Google Slides and saves it back to your Google Drive. Starting from numbers instead? It can also turn a results spreadsheet into a board deck with charts.
Manus reads the plan, the research, the budget and last quarter’s results, then builds a deck that sticks to what’s in your files and saves it to the same folder.
Ask for a change in plain words. Manus finds the exact section, phrase or comment and edits only that part, so you don’t copy text into a chat and paste it back.
Manus finds Mark’s comment, answers it in the thread and adds one paragraph in the right place. The rest of the doc stays as it was.
Manus copies your onboarding kit into a new folder, puts the client’s name in every doc, sheet and deck, then shares the folder with the client team.
Ask the way you’d ask a colleague. Manus finds files by name, content or when you last opened them, then lists, converts or files them for you, right away or on a schedule.
Manus checks when you last opened each doc and gives you a list to review. Nothing is moved or deleted until you decide.
Manus converts each doc to PDF and puts the copies in a new folder. Your original Docs stay where they are.
Each Monday Manus reads the week’s updates, writes the report as a new Google Docs file and saves it where your team already looks.
Google Drive is part of the built-in Google Workspace connector in Manus, together with Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms. There’s no MCP server to install or host, and you choose what Manus can reach.
Open Connectors in Manus and select Google Workspace. It’s the Google Drive connector, upgraded to cover Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms too.
Pick a level for each service. Read lets Manus search and read without editing. Full lets it read and write.
Select Authenticate with Google and approve access. Then name a file or folder, or paste a link, in your request.
Manus works in your Google Drive through the built-in Google Workspace connector. It can search your files, read and summarize Docs, Slides and PDFs, write new Google Docs and Google Slides, edit existing ones, and create folders, move, duplicate, share or convert files for you.
Manus can read, write and organize any file type in your Google Drive. For Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides, it can also read and update the content inside the file. Google Forms is part of the same connector, and you choose Off, Read or Full for each of these services.
No. Manus is a separate AI agent, not the Gemini features inside Google Docs. You connect your own Google account to Manus once, then ask in Manus, and it opens, edits and creates files in your Google Drive for you. In the same task it can also use your other connected apps.
In Manus, open Connectors and choose Google Workspace. Set Google Drive, Docs and Slides to Read or Full, turn on any other Google services you want, then select Authenticate with Google and approve access. After that, mention a file or folder, or paste a link, in your request.
Only the services you turn on, at the level you choose. Off means Manus can’t see it, Read means it can search and read but never edit, and Full means it can read and write. Sign-in uses Google’s standard OAuth 2.0, files are accessed in an isolated sandbox for the duration of your task and aren’t kept after it ends. You can disconnect Google Workspace in Connectors or revoke access in your Google Account settings at any time.
Manus only acts on what you ask it to do. When you ask for an edit, it changes the part you named and leaves the rest of the document untouched. Before a destructive move like deleting a file, it asks you to confirm, and anything deleted stays in your Google Drive Trash for 30 days. If you only want summaries, set the services to Read and Manus can’t edit anything.
No. Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Slides are part of the built-in Google Workspace connector in Manus, so you don’t need a Google Drive MCP server, a Google Docs MCP or a Google Slides MCP, and there’s no Google Workspace MCP server to install or host. If you run your own MCP server for another tool, you can add it in Connectors with Custom MCP.
